Richard Fair, M.D.

Dr. Richard Fair is a board-certified physician specializing in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2011 and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida in 2015. After 8 years as a respected Anesthesiologist in the OKC area he decided to transition into Interventional Pain Management feeling he had more to offer patients with ongoing pain issues. He completed his pain fellowship at Louisiana State University.

Prior to pursuing his medical career, he served as a U.S. Army Special Operations soldier in the 75th Ranger Regiment where he participated in the fight on terror in the Middle East. It was here that he found an interest in medicine. Through observations of valiant medic personnel on the battlefield, he was inspired to put his rifle down and pursue a career of service as a physician.

Dr. Fair believes in a patient-centered approach understanding the whole effects pain has on a person mentally and physically and is dedicated to the compassionate and comprehensive care of his patients.

He and his wife of 20 years live in the OKC area and have two daughters. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, reading, being outdoors, and taking on various DIY projects.

Dr. Fair is a member of the American and Oklahoma Boards of Anesthesiology, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, and the Oklahoma Pain Society.
