To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, we offer several options based on your needs and level of anxiety:
IV conscious sedation is a form of mild to moderate sedation delivered through an IV line to help patients stay calm, comfortable, and pain-free during procedures. Patients remain awake but relaxed and typically have little to no memory of the procedure.
At our office, IV sedation is safely administered by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or a specially trained nurse. The patient is continuously monitored by both the sedation provider and our board-certified anesthesiologist, who is also the one performing the procedure. This ensures the highest level of safety and care throughout the entire process.
For those with mild anxiety, we offer oral Valium (diazepam) before the procedure. It helps you feel calm and at ease while staying fully awake. No IV is required.
Many procedures can also be performed without sedation, using only a local anesthetic to numb the treatment area. This option is ideal for patients who prefer to stay fully alert and avoid any sedation.
